In 2022, Patrício Faísca, together with New Light Pictures, produced a comedy short film called “Amarrada”. Filming took place in Faro and they used equipment that they rented here at Algarve Film Rentals.
The Director of Photography, Pedro Pacheco, chose our RED DSMC2 Helium camera to shoot the short film, a top choice due to its 8K sensor that offers exceptional resolution and a wide exposure latitude, thus providing images of the highest quality. To complement this, he used the Carl Zeiss Compact Prime CP.2 kit lens, known for its sharpness, color consistency and robust construction, ideal for demanding film productions.
For the lighting, our Arri Compact HMIs were used, which are known for their high power and stable color temperature, perfect for creating strong, natural lights. In addition, they turned to our Tungstens, which offer a warm light and are highly versatile in various shooting configurations. The Godox VL300 and Godox VL150 LEDs were also used, appreciated for their energy efficiency and precise control of light intensity, ideal for quick setups and varied shooting environments. They also used our Godox Lantern, which provides a soft, even light, perfect for creating diffused lighting and eliminating harsh shadows.
